(This is my 3rd attempt at posting this...hope it works!) Last Saturday, we went to watch the UT Men's basketball game (vs. Memphis) with mom and Laura. What a great game! It was exciting to see UT #1, even if it was for just a few days. During half-time we had some fun...as you can tell in the picture. (by the way....those are valentine's cookies.)

Today I took a pedometer to work with me. I knew that I walked a lot but seriously! Not sure how accurate it is, but here's what I ended up with after a day at work and going to the grocery store....just over 11,400 steps which it said was just over 5 miles.

our week

Well, what started out to be a very busy week, calmed down rather quickly. Monday was an inservice day (thanks to it being President's Day!) so I was able to get a lot of things done at work...i.e. copying materials, writing IEPs, going through a pile of papers, etc. On Tuesday, I had a meeting after work (but related to work) that didn't get over until 5:30, then it was time to head to pilates, and then get home in time to watch "Biggest Loser." Wednesdays are my "meeting days" at one of my elementary schools so that's what I did most of the day...meet. I was also able to get a few kiddos tested. The day got much brighter when I learned that school was going to be cancelled Thursday AND Friday due to illness. Supposedly, there were too many staff absences and not enough subs. Thursday night I went to a baby shower for a friend and tonight Andrew and I watched the movie "Breach." It was a very good movie! Tomorrow, Andrew is busy showing properties to a client and I'm going to try to finish cleaning the house. Sure wish it would warm up...I'm ready for warm weather, the lake, and frisbee golf! Enjoy your weekend!

The Zoo

On MLK day, we decided to go to the Knoxville Zoo. It was half-price admission, plus if you brought in a phone book (to be recycled), one person could get in free. It was a COLD day, so a lot of the animals weren't out. It was a good day! Enjoy the pics!

Keeping up with the Sharits...that's us!

Welcome. I've decided to start a blog...not sure how it will work out though. :-) If anything, I hope it's a good way for family and friends to keep up with what's going on in our lives. So what's the latest? Well, Andrew has been off crutches and out of the "boot" for a couple weeks. What a praise! His real-estate business is really picking up, too! I've started taking a pilates class with my sis Laura. It's at a local church and the cost of the class is going towards the instructor's mission trip to Africa this summer.

Valentine's Day was special. This year we celebrated our 9th Valentine's. Our first "official" date was on Valentine's Day 1999 with dinner at Silver Spoon. This year, we grilled steaks and watched the movie "Deja Vu."

Check back often for more updates. Have a good weekend!
